Christ Fellowship, in McKinney, Texas, is looking for its next Senior Pastor. Our story began in 1995, when Bruce Miller heard a call from God to plant a church in the rapidly growing community of McKinney, Texas. He answered the call with a faithful team from what is now Chase Oaks Church (Plano, Texas), and launched what would become Christ Fellowship. God has had His hand on our congregation every step of the way, as He’s grown us from a small group of folks meeting in a middle school to a few thousand worshipping in two languages, in our own custom-built building.

Last year, Bruce heard God’s call again. But this time, God was calling him to move into a different role serving our church and the greater kingdom cause. Bruce answered the call, and with the help and support of our Elders, developed a new role at the church: Founding Pastor.

When the next Senior Pastor begins his role, Bruce will shift into this new role, and serve Christ Fellowship in new ways. He will not have day-to-day operational leadership, be on the Elder team, or have staff directional responsibilities. Rather, at the new Senior Pastor’s discretion, Bruce will be available to care for people, teach, and engage in missions within our community and the world, as well as mentor the next Senior Pastor.

Who We Are

Our Mission: People helping people find and follow Christ.

Our Vision:  To reduce loneliness, anxiety, and addiction, by having meaningful conversations where people experience Christ through us.

Our Heart: All About Jesus

  • All welcome: people of grace.
  • All real: people who are authentic.
  • All Bible: people guided by the Word.
  • All in: people who hold nothing back.
  • All together: people who unite to make a difference.

Our Four Practices:

Spiritual growth isn’t a formula. It arises from a relationship with Jesus Christ. As with all relationships, it’s dynamic, requiring our time, sacrifice, and love. At Christ Fellowship, we invest in four practices that help us continually take the next steps in our relationships with Jesus.

  1. Engage God Individually – This means spending time with Him regularly by reading the Bible, talking with Him in prayer, and actively learning more about Him. We even provide a daily reading guide known as the Engage God Daily to help you do it!
  2. Connect in a Group – Our spiritual lives may be personal, but they were never meant to be private. Personal growth happens best in the context of relationships so we connect in authentic small groups where we can continually be known, loved, encouraged, and challenged to grow and impact others.
  3. Worship in a Gathering – We meet weekly to sing, pray, study the Bible together through teaching, observe the Lord’s Supper, and ultimately encounter God together.
  4. Impact Others Personally – When we fully realize how much Jesus has done for us, it’s only natural to serve others as well. We volunteer in the church, in the community, and around the globe so more people can experience His love and follow Him.

Where God is Leading Us:

Faith-filled Relevance: We remain committed to being a welcoming, Christ-centered community, teaching biblical truth for those who struggle with issues of faith and the application of scripture to their lives in our current cultural climate.

Diverse Growth: We desire to grow attendance, engagement, and service in our English and Spanish congregations, as we reach the multi-ethnic people in McKinney and its surrounding communities.

Life Change: We desire to continuously engage, evangelize, and disciple people to see life change as they deepen their relationship with Christ.

Commitment: We set high challenges for people to grow spiritually, and to invest in gospel-centered kingdom work, locally and globally.
