Employee Handbook of Christ Community Church

Sue McKinney is the Executive Director of Christ Community Church of Milpitas California. She is also a student in the XPastor courses. While taking 101—Staffing, she worked on the church’s Employee Handbook. In the live class sessions, we were able to cover significant ground on staffing issues with her and the other students.

Sue has done an excellent job and offers it as an example fo the XPastor community.

Church leaders should review their employee handbooks every year. Then, every other year, the handbook should be carefully evaluated and updated. Remember to have staff read it once a year and sign a document stating the same.

Sue's number one goal is to help those she is serving with succeed. and be the best they can be. Sue continues to enjoy learning all she can around the areas finance and operations. Her ministry verse is 1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
