Salary Disclosure Policy

XPastor tries to help churches out by providing some of the essentials for running a church—items like job descriptions, employment applications, review forms, applications and policies. Below is the 2001 Salary Disclosure Policy of BCF Church.

  1. Make a formal request to the Board in writing as to why they feel a need to know this information and what they intend to do with it.
  2. That those requesting this information be given a written response from the Board stating that their request is either approved or denied.
  3. If it is approved, they are to meet with the Director of Operations or Executive Pastor. They will be shown a salary range chart for the various levels of ministry in the church (I will develop such a chart. It will not necessarily show the highest and lowest actual pay at each level, but a reasonable range).
  4. They will only be shown the chart if they are willing to sign a commitment to not share this confidential information with anyone else.

Our goal needs to be protection of the privacy of the employees of the church while at the same time not appearing to try and hide information that is appropriate to share.
