About Terry Powell

Terry Powell has served on three church staffs, both full and part-time, for a total of 12 years. For 38 years he directed the Family and Church Education major at Columbia International University in South Carolina, where he’s currently Faculty Emeritus. He’s a licensed preacher in the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America). Terry maintains a blog on depression and faith at penetratingthedarkness.com. He’s also the author of a book geared to encourage and instill resiliency in Christian workers: Serve Strong: Biblical Encouragement To Sustain God’s Servants. In the book, Terry shares, illustrates and applies insights from God’s Word that have sustained him through more than five decades of full-time vocational ministry.
