The pandemic season has done two things for a Senior Pastor succession thinking. For many, some long-term senior pastors under 60 years old and now planning to hand over leadership over the next few years.

On the other extreme are those Senior Pastors, even over normal retirement ages who feel like it would be bad to plan to leave now or have been reinvigorated. Either way, it puts the Executive Pastor in a strange and often awkward spot.

Dave Travis has now coached or counseled 118 larger churches in the Pastor Smart Succession Process. This session will focus on how the Executive Pastor can use their role to help in the process.
