Amplify Church, in Willow Spring, North Carolina, is looking for a Director of Spiritual Formations & Next Steps. The mission of the church is: We amplify the beauty of Jesus into a broken world so that everyone can Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference.

Church Profile

Our Beginnings

Amplify Church began in 1939, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh—at the corner of Halifax and Franklin Streets. In 1956, we did something wild: we physically cut the church building in half and rolled both sections on logs three blocks south to the corner of Wilmington and North Streets. Just a few years later, in 1962, we moved again—this time to Garner, just south of Raleigh—carrying the same message of Jesus every step of the way.

Fast Forward to Today

While the message of God’s love and rescue has never changed, He’s doing something fresh in us and through us. With renewed focus on children, passionate worship, and bold Bible teaching, we felt called to take a new step of faith. In the summer of 2020, we moved into the growing community of Willow Spring, North Carolina.

That’s why we call ourselves a brand new old church—86 years of legacy, still all-in on what’s next.

Values

  • We pray first.
  • We “bet the farm” against hell.
  • Activate disciple makers.
  • Grant hopefulness.
  • Point to holiness.
  • We contribute more than we consume.

Amplify Church is a Church of the Nazarene and holds to a Wesleyan Doctrine. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Core Beliefs and Biblical doctrines.
