About James Logan

Rev. Dr. James B. Logan is the sixth Pastor of the historic 133 year-old Messiah Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He served five years as the first full-time Executive Pastor of the Convent Avenue Baptist Church in New York City under Rev. Dr. Jesse T. Williams, Jr. Dr. Logan received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Dallas Theological Seminary with a dissertation on “A Comparative Church Study of Successful Family Ministry Models.” He received several Human Resources Management Certifications from Cornell School of Industrial Labor Relations in New York City. He has also taught classes in “Theology and The Black Church” at the College of New Rochelle. Before his pastoral role, God used him for 20 years as a light in the marketplace and to develop skills for ministry. He has a passion for equipping people to live transformed lives through Christ while reaching their full potential. Rev. Dr. Logan also has a burden to bring restoration and healing to families and broken relationships.
