XPastor gives a “Gold XP” rating to Mosaic Church of Orlando for the intro shot in their welcome video. David Fletcher recently was at Mosaic, helping them on a project. Fletch says, “Do you ever get an image in your head and it stays there—frozen because it is so good?”

Mosaic Church created the video, First Sunday in Winter Garden, both to celebrate their new campus and as a welcome to the community. The use of a drone to capture Mosaic’s new building and its entrance is compelling, inviting and memory-making.”

“Just from the picture, this is a church I want to go to. If I lived in Orlando, this would be an automatic pick of a church to visit … so warm and inviting.” Fletch continued. He noted the visual elements:

  • The distinctive “This is Mosaic Church” identifies the church among other businesses in a strip center. The wording is oversized so that it is easily recognizable from the road. The wording is different and that is compelling.
  • The orange golf cart is immediately inviting for single moms with young kids, special needs and older folks.
  • The people are leaving the building, so you see their faces. This is counter intuitive. You would think that the better shot would be of people going into the building. Then we would see their backs.
  • The use of the drone isn’t overplayed. It is the eye candy to enter the video.

Congratulations to Mosaic for this video and opening shot. What a winner! This deserves the “Gold XP” rating from XPastor.
