Interim Pastors

Interim Pastors

Saturday, October 27, 2018

Hey Fletch … I am an intentional interim pastor working with Interim Pastor Ministries. In the past 7 years, I have served 4 different churches, 3 of which had their pastor abruptly leave. So I have had a front-row seat in watching church leadership teams struggle with this trauma. I come in and work with the church for 18 months to 2 years to help them work through their issues before calling a new senior pastor. I have a burden for, when a pastor abruptly leaves, what the leadership team of the church does in the first 90-days. That determines how the church recovers. I would like to chat with you to see if what I’m pursuing could network with XPastor.

DRF—It sounds like you have a great ministry. It is one of healing, spiritual rebuilding and nourishing. That is terrific.

On the XPastor site, we have some articles by Bud Brown of Turnaround Pastors. Here is one of his called Wisdom for Interim Pastors. All that to say, I like to provide selected resources to pastors and churches in interim situations. Yet, XPastor does not focus on interim needs. There are other great sites, like yours, that are devoted to interim work.

God’s best to you in serving churches in such critical moments.
