Asking for a Raise

Asking for a Raise

Wednesday, November 28, 2018

Hey Fletch … I’m in the process of asking for a raise. However I do not know what is appropriate for my job title, years of experience and location. I need to let my supervisor and senior pastor know what I am asking for within the next week. Do you have any resources that would be helpful in navigating this question?

DRF—We just concluded ten Smart Money for Church Salaries workshops around the nation. The video will be ready in about a month but that won’t help your timeline!

You can get salary data from several online sources. The two biggest are: ministrypay.com from The Church Network and churchsalary.com from Christianity Today. You can watch a webinar that I did with Sam Ogles from CT on compensation.

You will get help also from the “Hey Fletch” column on Worship Pastor Salaries from Wednesday, May 9, 2018.

My book, Smart Money for Church Salaries, is now also available.
