Job Description
Purpose
To lead the Pastoral Team, Auxiliary staff and Support Staff to be on mission as we fulfill the purpose of Grace Point Church.
Direct Report
Senior Pastor
Description of Responsibilities
Worship and First Impression Ministry
- Plan, lead and teach in worship services and other special services or events with the Pastor.
- Meet regularly with the Pastor to discuss ministry philosophy, themes, strategies, and goals.
- Facilitate the “front door” First Impression ministries.
Discipleship and Spiritual Formation
- Design, develop and regularly monitor an effective and holistic disciple making ministry.
- Enlist, train and empower lay discipleship personnel.
- Plan and oversee the Discipleship section of the budget.
- Develop and oversee specialized support groups.
- Facilitate age focused discipleship groups.
- Model for the members the life of a disciple of Christ.
- Continue further training in disciple making and leadership development.
Pastoral Team and Cultural Engineer
- Oversee the Pastoral Team, Auxiliary Ministries and Support staff under the direction of the Senior Pastor.
- Assist the Pastor in other strategic areas in the overall development of the church.
- Work in concert with the Trustees in the oversight of the Ministry and Capital budgets
- Develop and manage the Ministry campus of the church.
Evangelism and Member Outreach Mobilization
- Develop and oversee outreach and follow-up efforts for the Body Life Groups.
- Regularly make strategic contact with prospects.
- Create a culture of that will encourage spontaneous Body Life Group multiplication.
Fellowship and Member Assimilation
- Assist the Pastor in the assimilation of the North Point New Members seminar
- Provide the strategic link from being a part of the “crowd” to “congregation” of GPC.
