The Mission

The mission of VPC is to Call People to Faith, to Equip People For Ministry, and to Send People into Mission.

VPC Calls People to Faith by providing the opportunity and resources to come and learn about Jesus Christ and to be a part of God's family of believers. Through our worship services, activities, and educational programs, and events we focus on sharing the love of Christ with all who walk through our doors.

Equipping People for Ministry means helping people to grow in their faith and to mature spiritually, experiencing the full joy of being a believer. People receive the love, training, and resources needed to become a stronger and more mature Christian. The seven practices of a disciple: Prayer, Worship, Study, Faithful Living, Serving, Giving, and Witnessing provides the framework for this kind of spiritual transformation.

VPC Sends People into Mission in order that others may know Jesus and the new life that is available through Him. We develop opportunities for people to engage in outreach programs, and encourage broad participation in many mission projects, both locally as well as globally. Whether it is financial giving or direct personal participation, our goal is to always follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in deciding where to put our time and talent.
