Northeast Bible Church, located in Garden Ridge, Texas, serves several communities in the northeast part of the San Antonio area. We are a growing church and have an immediate opening for an Executive Pastor.

Northeast Bible Church is looking for an Executive Pastor who is motivated by the need to implement the vision and strategy of NEBC, and who has solid experience in the area of fiscal management. In essence, we are looking for someone with excellent people skills, and who likes to make things happen.

The position of Executive Pastor will report to the Senior Pastor and be a member of the Pastoral Staff. The successful applicant will be responsible for the operation of the church. He will lead, manage, supervise, and minister to the entire Northeast Bible Church staff under the supervision of the Senior Pastor; this includes traditional pastoral duties, as well as organizational leadership.

The successful applicant will see the need to be hands on and be available to his direct reports on a daily basis. He will want the responsibility of running the day-to-day operations of NEBC. In addition, his focus will be to relieve the Senior Pastor of all operational issues and burdens.

The successful applicant will ensure that the strategic plan gets implemented through the executive management team.

A Masters Degree or equivalent ministry experience will be required. In addition to excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills, the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage the day-to-day operations of a large organization and staff.

At NEBC we believe …

• the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine authority for Christian faith and life.
• in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• that Jesus Christ is true God and true man having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He rose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

What is the Evangelical Free Church?

The Evangelical Free Church is a fellowship of evangelical churches joined together in bonds of love and understanding to meet mutual needs.

Nearly 1000 Free Churches in America are committed to common purposes, principles, and practices, including the belief of the authority of Scripture as being inerrant in the original autographs and the only safe and sufficient guide to faith and practice.

Although each local church governs itself, there is common purpose among churches that gives a basis for cooperation. Maintaining schools for the training of Christian workers, the many details involved in sending out missionaries to eleven fields around the world and meeting their needs while on the field, the establishment of new churches at home and publishing periodicals, the building and operating homes for the aged, homeless, or abused children are all responsibilities of the Christian, but beyond the scope and ability of a local congregation. Free Churches recognize the strength there is in a united effort of cooperation among churches in bearing witness to the saving power of the gospel of Christ.
