Susie has been following her passion and calling in serving women for Christ for many years. Through teaching, training, leading, writing, and mentoring Susie has made her mark on women’s ministries. For fifteen years Susie developed and lead the women’s ministries and their discipleship ministries (Women of Joy) at Riverwood Community Chapel in Kent, Ohio.
Susie is an experienced conference lecturer, retreat speaker and Bible teacher. Her emphases and themes run the gamut from spiritual disciplines to parenting to biblical principles like obedience and integrity. Her passion is to see women have a deep encounter with Jesus Christ through his word and through interacting with other women. Along with teaching and leading women in larger venues, Susie has also worked extensively helping churches launch and develop women’s ministries.
In 2006, her husband Paul joined The Chapel in Akron, Ohio in a planned three-year transition to become the Senior Pastor. Susie leads the large team of staff wives as well as significantly shaping the women’s ministries at The Chapel.
The Sartarelli’s have enjoyed an extensive ministry to married couples in the context of retreats and marriage conferences.
For leisure Susie enjoys jogging and playing tennis. She is also an accomplished seamstress. The Sartarelli’s daughter Sara lives with her husband Tony In Cincinnati.
