Steven is the Executive Pastor at Calvary Bible Church in Lodi, California. He would say, "we are a church in transition and God is once again teaching me what it means to be a leader of leaders. My driving passion is to draw the best out of others and the ministries that help people fulfill their dreams and unleash their God given potential in Christ. As an Executive Pastor, I see to it that the untapped potential of the ministry leaders I work with is unleashed and the ministry systems they oversee, impact people for Christ. It’s been a thrilling spiritual journey that has brought me to this point in ministry."
He has served in several ministry roles in over twenty-six years in the church. And, God has used every experience in his life to prepare him for the challenges that ministries face today in transitioning or positioning themselves to reach the next generation for Christ.
Steve began his leadership journey in the early 80’s and for seventeen years he worked in the natural gas industry in New Mexico. He was graduated from the University of Phoenix with a bachelors in Management and later from Liberty University’s Theological Seminary with an masters in Religion. He has taught leadership seminars to other church leaders and community leaders through the church he served as Executive Pastor in Farmington, New Mexico and through local colleges.
He is creating a website that links to Calvary Bible Churches’ web site called Leadership Link. "Leadership Link is designed to create a leadership community in our church and provide online support, articles and suggested reading materials for our staff, for our volunteer leaders and our untapped next generation leaders."
Catherine and Steve have been married for 32 years and have two daughters and three grandchildren. He loves salt water fishing in the Sea of Cortez, or in the San Francisco Bay as well as mountain biking in Keystone, Colorado. Steve loves studying the latest thoughts about reaching people for Christ and searching the scriptures for wisdom and guidance for his life and ministry. Catherine and Steve love hanging out with neighbors, young next generation leaders, sharing their spiritual journey. "We believe the harvest is plentiful. Let’s go fishing!"
