Ron has been with ChurchExecutive since July 2005 and editor since July 2007. He is working at his life's desire of joining magazine journalism with the business side of church life. He spent most of his career in the publishing and communications sides of "association management."
Ron grew up in the Church of the Brethren in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. It had 650 members and was at the time the megachurch of the denomination. He has been in congregations of the ELCA, Baptist General Conference, two non-denominational churches including Willow Creek and the Evangelical Free Church.
Ron received his master's degree in journalism from The University of Oklahoma. He grew up on Hershey chocolate where his Dad worked for 40 years.
