To Gerald Farley, the way people handle money and possessions is the most effective indicator of who they are in Christ. And it's his calling to help people grow in the grace of giving—both to meet their own spiritual needs and the ministry needs of the church.
As a gifted leader, administrator and teacher, Gerald brings a wealth of experience, heart and passion to the task of helping believers embrace the full power of biblical stewardship.
A Generis consultant since 1996 and a church staff administrator for the 20 years prior, Gerald is adept at providing diverse guidance and counsel—leading capital campaigns, family financial planning seminars, will and trust conferences, and assisting with church growth and administration concerns.
He's skilled at orchestrating the tactical details of a pledge campaign—from communication materials to the right information technology. While administrative pastor of Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he led the church through a building and relocation effort that spanned five capital campaigns—the last of which raised $7 million.
During that time, the church expanded from a 5-acre to a 62-acre campus, its operating budget grew from $900,000 to $4 million, and its worship attendance rose from 900 to 3,650 members. Generous with his time and talents, Gerald is a certified Crown (Christian Financial Concepts) counselor, has served on the New Mexico Baptist executive board and the national nominating committee for the Southern Baptist Convention, and he's been an American Red Cross chapter president and a volunteer with the National Cancer Society.
