bickleyMike was born in Kansas City, Missouri and became a Christian in high school. In 1984, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in from the University of Kansas. Shortly thereafter, he and Elizabeth married and went on staff with Student Mobilization, a college ministry at the University of Arkansas. In 1989,Mike obtained a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He recently finished the coursework for his Doctor of Ministry degree and is working on his doctoral project in the area of elder leadership.

Coming out of an unchurched home, he was actively involved in youth ministry in a local church, Young Life, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In college, Mike was involved in the leadership of Campus Crusade for Christ and spent two summers behind the Iron Curtain in discipleship ministries in Poland and Hungary.

While attending seminary, Mike and Elizabeth spent five months in Great Britain helping the Billy Graham Ministry. During his pastoral ministry, he has been a part of a pastoral training institute in Peru, helped with theological training of staff for a campus ministry, and sits on the board of directors for an enterprise in Asia.

Mike served Christ Community Church in Kansas City during its church planting stages from 1990-95. He then became the church-planting pastor at Community Bible Church in Russellville, Arkansas (a church planting effort of the Fellowship Bible Churches in Conway and Little Rock). Mike ministered to this church for eight years as their directional leader before joining the staff at Olathe Bible Church. As Pastor of Ministry Development, Mike is a hybrid Executive Pastor, focusing on staff oversight and development, strategic planning, and vision implementation.

Mike and Elizabeth have five children. The family enjoys most sports and outdoors activities and is always on the go. Mike likes to read, play golf and coach the kid's sports teams.
