Daily Evaluations
Things I loved about our time together
- Safety, relationship, the connection with each other
- Free flow of ideas between all participants
- Having XPs together to process same material. Seeing things behind the scenes. Relaxed environment. Structure was varied
- Talking with XPs in a small group about vital issues
- Camaraderie of other believers from different traditions/cultures of faith. Sharing the same vision, responsibilities & struggles.
- Sharing with Nathan's staff
- Interviews with folks
- Great interaction with folks who have been mentored
- The 360 evaluation tool was tremendous. Liked changing settings for each major session.
- Camaraderie with other XPs
- Collective wisdom. Tools. Scripture reflections
The most helpful part for me
- The practical tools for organizing thought to increase intentionality
- The formalized process shown for developing mentees
- Receiving concepts and resources (people and tools)
- The tools of mentoring. Meeting the people that Nathan mentors.
- Introduction of resources
- Questions & answers, resources
- Tools list & 360 feedback
- Sharing rough draft of mentoring plans
Suggestions
- Some physical structuring in afternoons to get blood flowing and help retain freshness. Also, some type of afternoon follow up
- Overview of human/spiritual development models before approaching mentoring needed. Overview of organizational models related to XPs and related roles before exploring mentoring models.
- Maybe add 2-3 hours for "popcorn" issues
- Today was optimal
