Stacey
CampbellStacey Campbell

XP, Christ Community: Cover Story, May 2006 "If many executive pastors bring to the job an MBA or some business background, Stacey Campbell comes to church administration with a different stripe. Responsible for a $1.9 million budget and some 22 staff members, his is a relational approach to managing. His master's degree in biblical counseling putcas him on strong ground, and he'd rather relate to people than to numbers and budgets. He's one reverend who sees himself as irreverent, wanting to dig deep in people's lives."

Dr. David FletcherDavid Fletcher

XP, Northwest Bible Church. Cover Story, August 2004. "Behind every senior pastor's success is a point person—someone who, although erudite and gifted, is not too proud to play second fiddle. Dr. David Fletcher, executive pastor of Northwest Bible Church in Dallas, TX, is one such man." David is now the XP of Grace Covenant Church of Austin

Preston Mitchell

Preston Mitchell

XP, Fellowship Church. Cover Story, October 2004. The last 14 years saw Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX, grow from a small congregation of 150 to a megachurch that welcomes 18,000 people on weekends. What in the world happened? Preston Mitchell, one of the church's founding members and now its executive pastor, has some innovative - and controversial - principles to share.

Bill Egner

Bill Egner

XP, Christ Chapel. Cover Story, December 2003. That much of Egner's background in rocket science is coming across in the way he performs his job at Christ Chapel Bible Church, is obvious to the staff as well. Kitchens says Egner is well known for using phrases such as "We're building the ship while it's in the air." What Egner means by that, says Kitchens, is that the church is making changes and rerouting as it moves forward in history. "We're not building on the ground to see if it could fly - it's already flying."

Dan Entwistleentwistle

Managing Executive Director, United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. Cover Sotry, July 2007: "Dan Entwistle tells the story of a pastor of a growing church who, when asked how he managed the growth, said “We’re like an elephant that escaped from the zoo. The goal isn’t to corral the elephant but instead to keep it from trampling people and to have it go generally in the right direction most of the time.”

Elwin Ahu

New Hope Christian Fellowship O'ahu. Cover Story, July 2005. "It's 1 o'clock on a Saturday morning. Most of the inhabitants of Oahu, "the sun and fun capital of the Hawaiian islands," are fast asleep. Meanwhile at Farrington High School in Honolulu, volunteers from New Hope Christian Fellowship Oahu are busy setting up tents in the school's courtyard; some are unloading tables and chairs; some are mopping classroom floors; and others are cleaning the toilets. These volunteers are called Levites. They come in groups at various times every Saturday and Sunday to prepare the area for the weekend worship services. In a few hours, thousands of New Hope members and guests will gather at the school's auditorium to worship. Those who won't be able to get inside the auditorium will sit under one of the tents and watch the action on a giant screen."

Mary
JammermanMary Jammerman

XP, Woodinvale Alliance. Cover Story, April 2005. "There is something about Mary Jammerman that inspires instant respect. The former senior human resources generalist for an engineering firm and now the executive pastor at Woodinville Alliance stands tall, quite literally at nearly 6 feet. But that, of course, has little to do, if any, with the quiet confidence and composure she exudes. She carved out a successful career in the corporate world, acquiring invaluable knowledge, skills and experience in the field of management, including all aspects of employee relations, performance management, career development, training, compensation, benefits, and recruiting. But skills alone may not be responsible for her refined sensibilities." Mary was featured at the 2006 XP-Seminar, "From Executive to XP"

Warren Schuh

Warren Schuh

XP, Calvary Church. Cover Story, April 2004. "Very few probably have more knowledge and understanding than Warren Schuh of the dynamics between the large church of the future and the pivotal role executive pastors play in ensuring that it thrives amid cultural changes. For 10 years, Schuh was the executive pastor at Mission Hills Church in Littleton, CO, before working with Leadership Network in Dallas, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to identify, network and provide resources for leaders of large congregations in the U.S." Warren now is President of WS Associates. He is the host of XPastor's Overseer pages and leas the large church forum at the XP-Seminars. Warren Schuh read Warren's bio on XPastor Warren hosts "The Overseer" on XPastor

Gini SmithGinny Smith

XP, The City Church. Cover Story, March 2004"It's the attitude of faith, focused on the goodness of God and not on the toughness of life, that, according to Executive Pastor Gini Smith, makes a church irresistible to those living beyond its walls."

Jeanette Dickens

Senior Associate Pastor, Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church. Cover Story, February 2008. "Jeanette Dickens brings the strategic understanding of business and the heart of a pastor to the stewardship role at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church. The vision of the congregation is to “sustain an environment in which biblical stewardship is a personal way of life” and the efforts of Dickens, her 10 captains and 65 other people working in stewardship have brought attention from other churches around the country who want to practice stewardship and generous giving differently."

Glenn DeMaster

XP, Crystal Cathedral. Cover Story, December 2005. "Glenn spent the last dozen years of his active ministry as executive pastor at Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California: That Glenn DeMaster spent the last dozen years of his active ministry as executive pastor at Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA, is as much providential as it is happenstance. When his pastor 35 years ago came back from Robert Schuller's Insitute for Successful Church Leadership, handed DeMaster the audio tapes from the conference, and invited him to leave his school principal job in Nebraska and join the church staff, there was no inkling then that DeMaster would eventually come to the second chair of Schuller's congregation."
